Independent Chair for Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership

Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership is established to monitor, challenge and help to develop the agencies responsible for delivering services to support and protect children and young people in the county.  

 

We are seeking to appoint an Independent Chair who will provide strong, dynamic leadership and strategic vision coupled with robust scrutiny and challenge in order to ensure that all partner agencies in Norfolk collaborate effectively to safeguard children and promote their welfare.

 

This is a challenging role and we are looking for an outstanding individual with proven experience of chairing complex meetings at a senior level, particularly in partnership settings.  The successful applicant will have sound operational and strategic understanding of children’s safeguarding.. You will have a passion for working in the interests of children and young people and be committed to ensuring their voices are heard on safeguarding issues. You must be able to evidence relevant expertise in this field and preferably will have been employed at a senior level within the statutory or voluntary sector.

 

The fee to be paid is based on 3 – 4 days per month up to a maximum of 50 days per annum.  It will be reviewed during the course of a 3 year contract to reflect changing needs.

Interviews will be held on 3 January 2020. 

On appointment, the successful applicant will be invited to attend an NSCP Leadership Exchange and Learning event on Monday 16 March.
