Temporary contract/secondment opportunity to cover maternity leave

 

The Norfolk Record Office collects and preserves unique archives relating to the history of Norfolk and makes them accessible to people in Norfolk and across the world.

 

A maternity cover position has become available. You will be working with the Education and Outreach team and Partnership and Development Manger to provide a service county wide.

 

You will help to plan, develop, promote and deliver events and activities for visitors of all ages, contribute to the Record Office’s social media output, manage and update databases and assist in promotion of campaigns and other fund-raising activities.

 

We are looking for someone with experience of working with archives, of producing publications, and using social media. You must demonstrate that you have recent experience of delivering quality customer service, have the ability to work on your own initiative and within a team, and to be flexible.

 

The ability to carry out research and interpret collections and historical information accurately is essential.

 

Applicants must have a current full driving licence.
