Adult Social Services

Be a Social Worker in Norfolk

Norfolk – opportunities countywide

Up to £34,728 per annum plus excellent relocation package

Full time and part time opportunities

In Norfolk we’ve changed the conversation and strengthened our social work teams to support people to live independently for as long as possible. Aligned with our vision, our approach is person-centred and supports people to be independent, resilient and well.

We’re looking for qualified social workers to join us in beautiful Norfolk within our community mental health and learning disability teams. You’ll support our strength-based approach which is fully integrated with our health partners to wrap care around the person to encourage early intervention in the community. With our integrated working approach, you’ll enjoy variety in your day and the opportunity to build strong working relationships with professionals across the county council, NHS and other partners.

You’ll join our teams who have fully embedded our new model of care to provide better outcomes for our service users. Talking about what they can do, listening and connecting to enable early intervention and support in the community.

We’re realistic about the challenges, but we’re passionate about how we can support you to meet them, so you can enjoy the rewards social work has to offer.

You’ll be supported in your continuous professional development, and if you’re a newly qualified social worker, we’ll provide the support and guidance you need to complete your ASYE. You can work flexibly, and some of our teams have opportunities for some remote working; our technology platform and equipment are first class enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. All we ask is that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.

You’ll also work in the beautiful county of Norfolk with over 90 miles of stunning coastline, the unique Norfolk Broads, great shopping and culture, and amazing wildlife to name a few of the benefits of living here. We also offer an excellent relocation package to support your move and a real focus on health and well-being to provide a work like balance that works for you.  If you’re a qualified and dedicated social worker and want to feel part of an organisation which makes a positive difference to those living in Norfolk, we want to hear from you.

Interviews will take place via video technology, where you will have the opportunity to discuss these working arrangements.

Applications will be reviewed as and when received, you do not need to wait until the closing date.
