Hi, I’m Matthew Reading, Head of Social Work for the West Norfolk locality. My focus is to lead the teams in West Norfolk to deliver outstanding social work services, bringing positive impacts on Children’s lives.

Right now, I’m looking for experienced and dedicated social work professionals to join the teams in Assessment, Family Intervention and Children with Disabilities. We offer a friendly and supportive environment and look forward to welcoming dedicated and experienced social work professionals.

You’ll be joining us as we build on the positive findings of our recent Ofsted inspection. We’re investing in Children’s Services over the next three years which will offer development opportunities as we transform services.

With a Diploma/Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and full HCPC registration you will have completed your ASYE and keen to develop your career. You must also have the ability to travel.
In return for your hard work and commitment we offer you great CPD and learning opportunities (we work closely with the UEA), teams who will welcome you with open arms and help you settle in.

West Norfolk is a beautiful place to live and work. I moved to the county 3 years ago, live a few miles from the office, and have never looked back. If offers a real balance between work and home with a stunning coastline and the seaport town of Kings Lynn at its heart. Kings Lynn also offers an array of shops and restaurants, direct rail access to London Kings Cross and Cambridge and the area is surrounded by picturesque villages and hamlets.  Great country pubs, and walks for dog owners as well.

If you’re an experienced social work professional, like the sound of West Norfolk, I’d love to hear from you.

For an informal discussion regarding this vacancy please contact Matthew Reading Head of Social Work on 01553 669632.
