It’s an exciting time to join us in Adult Social Services. Using the ‘Living Well’ approach to care our vision is to promote independence and support recovery for our service users. We are looking to recruit two Social Workers to join the Norwich Mental Health Social Work Team.  Working alongside our key partner, Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust, you will provide an integrated approach to assessment and care for adults in the Norwich area with mental health needs.  Working in a friendly team, you will work alongside the Team Managers, Practice Consultants, Social Workers and Assistant Practitioners in a truly supportive environment.

You may have experience in the field of mental health or be looking to broaden your skills and experience. If you are a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England, and are committed to working to a person-centred way and have the skills to work in a multi-disciplinary setting and in complex situations, we would be interested in hearing from you. In return we can offer you the opportunity to work in an exciting area of Social Care.  You will have regular supervision and the support of a highly motivated team along with the relevant training required for the post and to develop your role. We invest in our team’s professional development, offering the opportunity to train as an AMHP or Practice Educator.

Norfolk has some of the most scenic and peaceful countryside and picturesque villages and market towns. The area offers numerous traditional pubs, an array of walking/cycling routes for the outdoor enthusiast and is a short distance from the historic and bustling city of Norwich. There are excellent rail links to London and the North and Norwich International Airport provides a range of flights to Europe and beyond.

A team player, you will need to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, be well organised and able to effectively prioritise and risk assess a complex caseload. You will have experience, knowledge and commitment to strength-based assessments, and provide statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983 and other relevant legislation

Please state in your application which post(s) you are applying for.

If you would like to discuss these roles, please contact Anthea Blenkinsop (Team Manager) on 01953 450845 or Anna McCabe (Team Manager) on 01953 450869
