Pension Fund Communications and Engagement Officer 20174 FNSE

Lawrence House, Norwich

£28,485 - £30,153 per annum (Scale I)

37 hours per week

Permanent contract

The award winning Norfolk Pension Fund is part of the national Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), with assets of £3.3bn.

Pensions may seem complicated, off putting, highly regulated and scary – yet they are of great importance.  Helping our 85k+ scheme members and their dependants, our potential scheme members, and our 330+ scheme employers understand the local Government Pension Scheme so they make good and timely decisions about the LGPS is one of our key responsibilities.

We pride ourselves on the quality of service we provide, and the effectiveness of our engagement with all our stakeholders - from individual members of the pension scheme through to large scheme employers - whilst continually seeking ways of working better and faster for less.

We are now looking for the right person, who shares our values, to join us to lead on the delivery and on-going development of our communications and customer care strategy.

If you are self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and willing to accept new challenges, with great interpersonal and communication skills and experience, and a track record of delivery, could this be you?

For informal discussions about this vacancy, please contact Jo Quarterman, Norfolk Pension Fund Project and Development Manager on 01603 223950.

This post is accountable to the Pensions Committee (mainly elected members who act as quasi Trustees to the Pension Fund) who run the Norfolk Pension Fund on behalf of 330+ employers and 85K+ scheme members. The Norfolk Pension Fund is accounted for and funded separately from the rest of Norfolk County Council.

We welcome applications from individuals currently working in other organisations, however we would like to make you aware that priority consideration for this post may be given to current employees who are affected by restructure within the organisation or are in a redeployment position.
